The Guildling was founded by Draius, a Slowking, with the help of his three loyal students. They created the guild to help the struggling community of Cloven Village regain their composure after a nasty war that left many children orphaned and many homes destroyed. The Slowking decided to remain here with his students long after the repairs had been made, and they watched Cloven Village become a quaint town.
Eventually Draius decided to retire and leave the place he had created, deciding to pass on the guild to one of his loyal followers. He considered each one and their ideals, but ultimately the decision was a catastrophic one for his students. The first was Abel, and Absol who believed cunning was the way to get what you deserved. Her mentality was to watch your own back before others, as you were the only person you can trust. Draius passed on the girl, deeming her mentality as not a very team friendly one.
Next Draius considered his own son, Barth, a Slowbro. Barth saw intelligence as a person's highest quality. He believed that you are useless without the ability to use your mental capabilities to win you the battle. While Draius loved his son, he saw this point of view as one to become clouded and twisted. So he passed on his own son.
Finally Draius set his eyes upon his youngest student, a Heracross called Beetle. Beetle only cared about the kindness and loyalty of one's heart. He had a "come as you are" policy, and he accepted the world with open arms. Draius, seeing how pure his intentions were, chose him to be his successor. Things did not end well for the once happy team. Upon Draius' departure, Abel and Barth both defected in order to start their own guilds. Barth spat at Beetle and vowed to end his efforts one day, promising to show who the more superior one was.
Beetle, heartbroken by the loss of his friends, vowed to protect his teacher's work. And the rest is history. Now The Guildling competes against the guilds of the towns surrounding, run by his former friends.
Retrieval Branch: Edit
This branch returns lost or stolen items to Pokemon. They also assist the returning of Pokemon back to their family and friends if they have been kidnapped or been lost.
Guard Branch: Edit
This branch explores dungeons to capture and detain rogue criminals. They have a reputation for brute force, and tend to think of their highly dangerous work as the most important. (Though one should note that this one cog in the machine would not work without the others.)
Maze Branch: Edit
This branch of explorers go out every day and try to route the mystery dungeons of this Pokemon world. They tend to make the lives of other divisions a lot easier, as they map out directions of the ever changing mazes..
Medical Branch: Edit
The healers of the Pokemon world. This branch specializes in tending wounds and restoring our weak back to full health. This noble division is highly selective about who it takes on.
Most rookies all participant in the first three branches. They take on the lower ranked missions and missions on the inside of town until they have learned how to deal with the dangers the dungeons exhibit.
Guildling members are placed in groups and only leave these groups if they choose to specialize in a certain subdivision or if they have been promoted ahead of their teammates. Other wise, they stay in their teams for life. Rankings are as follows.
Rookie Status Edit
These guys are beginners. Their main role is to learn how things run and become skilled enough to pass onto the higher rankings. You are able to join the guild at 16, so most of the rookie rank are in their teens.
Member Status Edit
The most basic rank above rookie. Regular members often pull more weight around the guild, often resorting in doing chores and small odd jobs. To move on from this ranking, exploration teams must compete in an annual promotion examination, titled the APE's. This is where many fizzle out of the program.
Advanced Status Edit
This is the chance for exploration teams to find their niche and where they want to go in life. This is where you get your chance to try more than just the blander missions and get to see what kind of tasks you prefer. Many exploration teams disband after this point to move onto their respective jobs.
Ultra Status Edit
This ranking allows for new specialists to learn the ropes of their new jobs. Not many things change besides possibly having some new team members if your former team didn't choose the same special as you.
Hyper Status Edit
Most Pokemon don't surpass this point. Hyper members are average joes in their specials as they have learned enough to move, but aren't the best of the best yet.
Master Status Edit
These Pokemon become sort of team captains. They are usually the top two or three most experienced in their specials, and are often consulted with about the runnings of the program/
Division Head Edit
There are only four Division Heads at one time, as there are only four specials. These Pokemon are the best at what they do, and often make protocol decisions for their respective underlings.
These are retired, high ranking Pokemon. They are only in this position to give unbiased advice and opinions to the Guildling Leader. They do not partake in missions.
Guildling Leader Edit
The big cheese as he may want to be called. He runs the show. Makes all major decisions. Decides promotions and basically everything big idea. There is only one at a time.
